Debra M. Scarlett – Real Estate Paralegal

Debbie was born and raised in the Drumheller area and has lived here all her life. She is married to Brent and they have 2 children, Tyler and Brandon. Her interests include travelling and spending time with her family. She is very active in the Rosedale community where she resides and has been the President of the Rosedale Recreational Society for many years.

Debbie has been a Legal Secretary for the past 42 years and has been employed by the firm for the past 36 years.

Debbie has worked in many areas of the law since her employment with the firm and continues to do so but mainly does all of the real estate work for Colin Kloot. She has a very good knowledge of the real estate practice and is also quite knowledgeable in other aspects of the law.


Cathy Clarke – Receptionist

Cathy moved to Drumheller in 1983 with her husband Jim and 2 children Christie and Lisa.

Her interests include reading, golfing and spending time with her family and friends and her 3 Grandaughters Ella, Avery & Olive.

Cathy was hired on at the firm in 2004 for the receptionist position. Since then she has assisted us in Corporate Annual Returns, Justice Department Billings and numerous other duties assisting the Lawyers and their assistants.


Shelley Andrus – Administrative Manager/Accounting Clerk

Shelley has been working at Herman, Kloot & Company since 2006.  Her responsibilities with the firm are comprised of a variety of administrative and general accounting duties.


Charlene Young – Accounting Clerk

Charlene moved to Drumheller in March 2016 from Regina, SK. She has worked in various finance roles for almost 20 years. Charlene has been married to Trevor for almost 33 years and they have 2 children and three sweet grandchildren. They enjoy camping and exploring the Hawaiian Islands.
Charlene joined Herman, Kloot & Company February 2019 as Accounting Clerk which includes, payables, posting cheques, deposits, payroll, and other accounting functions.
